中山道広重美術館では6月19日(木)から8月24日（日曜日）まで、日本美術技術博物館マンガ（ポーランド共和国クラクフ市）との共同企画展「マテウシュ・コウェク さまよう街」を開催しています。
The Hiroshige Museum of Art is hosting a joint exhibition with the Museum of Japanese Art and Technology Manga (Krakow, Poland) titled ‘Mateusz Kowek: ’Lost and Found Cities’ from 19 June (Thursday) to 24 August (Sunday).
8月10日（日）にマテウシュ・コウェク氏が来日し、13時30分からコウェク氏ご本人による作品解説が行われました。東京とクラクフ市がテーマの作品が展示されており、どのように作品を制作しているのかなど、興味深いお話が聞けました。
On 10 August (Sun), Mateusz Kowek visited Japan, and at 1:30 p.m., he gave a talk explaining his works. Works themed on Tokyo and Krakow were on display, and we heard interesting stories about how he creates his works.
8月11日(月祝)には、ドローイングワークショップが開催されました。子どもから大人まで12名の参加者が、コウェク氏にアドバイスを受けながら、猫の絵を描きました。
On Monday, 11 August (a public holiday), a drawing workshop was held. Twelve participants, ranging from children to adults, drew pictures of cats while receiving advice from Mr. Kowek.
作者本人の話を聞いたり、アドバイスを受けたりと、とても貴重な機会となりました。
空き時間には、一緒に来日された日本美術技術博物館マンガの館長や職員の方などと一緒に、和菓子、古い街並み、日本酒など恵那を堪能されました。
It was a very valuable opportunity to hear the artist’s own stories and receive his advice.
During their free time, they enjoyed traditional Japanese sweets, the old townscape, and sake in Ena, accompanied by the director and staff of the Manga Museum of Japanese Art and Technology, who had also come to Japan with Mr. Kowek.
